The article “Evaluating Proteinuria in Children” (October 1, 1998, page 1,145) contained two errors. In the discussion on quantitative methods on page 1,147, a unit was supplied incorrectly for the ratio of urine protein to creatinine; the ratio is a dimensionless value. In Table 3 on page 1,151, the fifth entry in the first column should read “Henoch-Schönlein purpura nephritis.”
