Question 1 in “Clinical Quiz” (July 15, 2001, page 216), pertaining to the article “NHBPEP Report on High Blood Pressure in Pregnancy: A Summary for Family Physicians” (page 263), contained an error. Although Type A quiz questions should have only one correct answer, this question, as written, has two correct answers. As the question was stated, both C and D are correct choices—i.e., they are correct key diagnostic criteria for preeclampsia as determined by the National High Blood Pressure Education Program Working Group. Choice D of the question should have stated: “Absolute requirement of proteinuria greater than 2,000 mg per 24 hours (2 g per day),” making it an incorrect choice.
