Many people work behind the scenes to ensure AFP remains the premiere resource for family physicians. Unfortunately, we rarely have the opportunity to recognize everyone who contributes to AFP’s success. One such group is the Editorial Advisory Board, which was created decades ago to offer ongoing support and information to the AFP medical editors.

The physicians listed below have volunteered their time and expertise to AFP. They serve as liaisons to their specialties and the organizations they represent. According to Jay Siwek, M.D., AFP editor, these experts, many of whom are family physicians, are responsible for informing him when their organizations develop or revise guidelines that are of interest to family physicians. In addition, they are asked to solicit or write one article each year. Dr. Siwek also relies on them to review manuscripts if the content specifically relates to their specialty.

It is the contributions of these people, in these varied specialties, that help keep AFP up to date on the variety of topics that concern family physicians. We thank them for their ongoing support and input.
