  • Athletic Performance Enhancing Substances and Methods 

    The American Academy of Family Physicians recommends the use of hormones, blood products, and medical technology for intended medical purposes and not for the enhancement of athletic performance. This would include, but not be limited to, anabolic agents, beta-2 agonists, peptide hormones, stimulants, growth factors, and related mimetics, hormone and metabolic modulators, diuretics and masking agents, blood and blood products for the use of gene and cell doping technology.
