This summer we held the first American Family Physician (AFP) photo competition, which was intended to encourage students and residents to share their stories through photographs about how they use the AFP journal.
We are pleased to announce the winners:
- Zoe Gordon, MD, MPH, fourth-year resident at the Greater Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program, Lawrence, Mass.
- Alison Nesbitt, DO, first-year resident at the Beaumont Wayne Family Medicine Residency program, Detroit, Mich.
- Mikita Patel, MD, second-year resident at the McLaren Oakland Family Medicine Residency program, Pontiac, Mich.

Each month, Greater Lawrence Family Medicine residents, faculty, and alumni gather virtually to discuss the most recent AFP articles. It has been a wonderful way to connect with each other, especially during COVID-19. These monthly discussions have also connected family physicians across the country – from California to Massachusetts!
