Learning Objectives

  1. Recognize how diagnostic ultrasound equipment works and how to properly obtain useful, interpretable images.

  2. Recognize the normal and abnormal sonographic appearance of the organs and structures involved in the specific clinical application.

  3. Obtain images of the specific clinical application and use them at the point-of-care for clinical decision making.

  4. Utilize appropriate coding and billing documentation.
