John G. Walsh Award for Lifetime Contributions to Family Medicine

Attendee at FMX.

Outstanding leaders who devote their careers to advancing family medicine deserve an outstanding honor.

AAFP members, chapters, commissions and the Board of Directors can hold up these champions of our specialty by nominating them for the John G. Walsh Award for Lifetime Contributions to Family Medicine.

The award recognizes long-term dedication rather than a single significant contribution, as well as leadership that advances family medicine.

The John G. Walsh Award and honorary membership are the two highest honors that the AAFP presents. The Board of Directors confers this special award, which may not be given every year.
