Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization Member Interest Group

The Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization Member Interest Group (MIG) supports the AAFP in identifying emerging technologies to improve human interactions in the exam room and provide feedback on current and future Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization changes.

Participation is open to any AAFP member interested in or seeking to learn more about Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization.
Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization MIG objectives
- To work collectively on making Technology Empowered Clinical Optimizations more provider-friendly and intuitive
- To reduce provider time spent on the Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization
- To assist AAFP staff with Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization enhancement pilots and provide feedback on current and future EMR changes
- To support the AAFP in identifying emerging technologies to improve human interactions in the exam room
- To assist the AAFP in the recruitment and retention of members with an interest in Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization.
Long-term MIG goals
- To improve Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization systems using MIG member feedback
- To prevent burnout of members by mentoring and partnering members with Technology Empowered Clinical Optimization problems with those who can offer solutions and support
- To explore developing technologies and help shape the future of medical documentation
