Chapter Delegate to Resident Congress

Crowd of Residents participating in Resident Congress at FUTURE.

The chapter delegate position is a chance to represent the concerns of residents in your region of the country.

Imagine the chance to represent not only the interests of your fellow residents, but also drilling down to the concerns of residents in just your region of the country?

That’s exactly what you get to do when you become a chapter delegate.

Each year, AAFP constituent chapters elect/select resident members to serve as chapter delegates to the National Congress of Family Medicine Residents (NCFMR). The NCFMR convenes during FUTURE, the annual family medicine conference for medical students. The resolutions from these congresses influence Academy policy and activities.
