Payment, Non-Physician Clinicians
December 13, 2019
Services delegated to, and provided by, non-physician clinicians under physician supervision must be provided with the same quality and should be paid at the same level as services directly provided by a physician. Incident-to billing criteria require additional work on behalf of the supervising physician and the supervising physician ultimately retains accountability for the patient outcomes.
