  • Navigating resident, faculty or institutional concerns

  • Development of a new program

Who are the RPS consultants?

RPS consultants are experts—family physicians who are current and former program directors, chief medical officers, designated institutional officials and department chairs. During an RPS Express Consult, one of our experts will help you identify solutions and innovative approaches to resolve issues you've identified in your program.

Need more in-depth support?

Express Consults are a great starting point if you need focused guidance on a specific issue. For more comprehensive support, a full RPS Consultation offers a deeper, longer-term relationship with a family medicine residency expert. Full consultations can be contracted for as little as five hours, with additional hours available as needed. Contact rps@aafp.org to discuss your needs with RPS staff and find out if a full RPS consultation is the best option for you.

Additionally, RPS Mini Group Consults offer a live, one-hour, online discussion with an RPS consultant and other family medicine residency program attendees on a pre-identified topic.
