Resident Member of the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors Board of Directors
Develop as a non-profit board leader with family medicine mentors.
The resident in this position will bring the perspective of residency peers to Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors (AFMRD) discussions about issues that affect the family medicine specialty.

Position responsibilities
Inform and provide a resident perspective to program directors on issues that affect residents
Attend required AFMRD in-person board meetings
Participate in monthly conference calls of the AFMRD Board of Directors
Provide written reports as requested
Attend the Residency Leadership Summit in conjunction with AFMRD in-person board meeting
Attend FUTURE to gather information on resident issues
Attend the Family Medicine Advocacy Summit (optional)
Applications for this position are reviewed by the AAFP Resident and Student Leadership Screening/Selection Committee and appointed by the AAFP Board of Directors.
