Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO®) publications and other materials are copyrighted by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and all rights are reserved. The AAFP disclaims any liability to any party for the accuracy, completeness or availability of any AAFP publication or other material, or for any damages arising out of the use or nonuse of any AAFP publication.

The AAFP may grant permission to use or reprint copyrighted material. There may also be a fee associated with this permission.

Academic use

If you would like to reuse any associated ALSO products for nonprofit, educational classroom use.

Commercial use

If you would like to reproduce, republish, or adapt material from ALSO products in another publication, including but not limited to apps, journals, books, textbooks, newsletters or other media.

Fees and payments

A permission fee is charged when the material is to be used in another form of publication (e.g., newsletter, textbook, manual or journal/magazine). The fee depends on the amount of content reprinted. Payment should be made in U.S. currency and must be received before permission is granted.

  • Include your name, organization, address, phone number, exact content requested, how it will be used, manner of distribution, audience using the materials and if there will be any financial gain with the distribution of the material in your email.
