    As of March 14, 17 states have reported cases of measles in 2024. Florida, in particular, has seen an influx of cases, and spring break travel and lagging vaccination rates across the country are cause for concern.

    The reality is that most patients and medical professionals have not seen measles thanks to effective vaccines like MMR. The AAFP has resources available for you, your care team, and your patients to refresh yourselves on the symptoms, tools for prevention, and treatment.
