  • At the completion of this session, learners will be able to:

    • apply knowledge of prevalence and risk for depression and suicide in order to identify those physicians and trainees most at risk
    • develop protective processes, policies and programs for preventing and addressing depression and suicide in physicians/trainees
    • develop strategies to dispel stigma and prevent barriers in seeking positive culture changes
    • consider individual as well as organizational strategies to prevent suicide and burnout 
    • and become familiar with how to approach a colleague when they might be struggling
